This compact unit has a 3 stage filtration system. The first stage pre-filter captures large particles, the second stage captures harmful and irritating particles with the HEPA filter, and the third stage captures chemical/gas pollution with the optional VOC filter. For your convenience, Purefilters carries the replacement prefilter/carbon inner filter & HEPA filter for this unit.

The Amaircare Roomaid Portable HEPA Air Purifier uses a 3-stage filtration system, and HEPA filter technology, that can remove 99.97% of airborne contaminants (dust, bacteria, mold, allergens, pet dander and viruses). Although this unit is small and potable, it uses the same activated carbon inner blanket as larger Amaircare HEPA room air filter models.
